The Kimberly Foundation is pleased to be involved with one junior race for the 2001-2002 ski season. This is the second time in four years that the Kimberly Foundation will sponsor the JIII Junior Olympics.

A three event test for top Western racers age 13 and 14 years old, the skiers will compete in a Super-g, giant slalom, and slalom. The Kimberly Foundation is pleased to be associated with this event. In total, 200 aspiring top young racers from all over the Western States will compete over four days.
The Kimberly Foundation will have photographers on the hill. Action shots will be available for purchase. A portion of the sales will go to the Kimberly Foundation Northwest Amateur Ski Racing Fund. The Fund has provided scholarships to numerous top skiers to attended national ski events over the past seven years.
The Kimberly Foundation will sponsor the athletes dinner and provide an always popular slide show recapping the weekend.
The Kimberly Foundation will also award a scholarship to the top two boys and girls overall based on their results from the three days.
The winners will be announced at the conclusion of the last day. The Kimberly Foundation will award $150 for the top boy and girl and $100 for the second boy and girl selected. Awards will be paid directly to the winners ski association to help cover some of the cost of attending the 2002 Junior Olympics.
